Robert Bettauer
Club Tennis Professional
Club Tennis Professional, Robert Bettauer, brings over 50 years of experience and is currently the CEO of Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence (PISE) in Victoria, BC and one of Canada’s top senior tennis players.
He is a coach and course facilitator, former Davis Cup coach and player and two-time Olympic coach. Plus he is a broadcast analyst who has covered the Davis Cup, National Bank Open and Olympics on various networks over the past 40 years!
Robert is Tennis Canada Coach 4 certified.

Club Tennis Professional, Martin brings great energy and enthusiasm and over 10 years of coaching experience to Bear Mountain Tennis Centre!
Martin is currently working on obtaining Tennis Canada Club Professional 2 certification and joins us from Stone in Staffordshire, England where he obtained a BA in Sports Management from University of Birmingham.
Martin is LTA Level 3 and Tennis Canada Instructor certified.

Club Tennis Professional, Rachel Gould, brings over 20 years of experience working throughout the tennis industry in Australia, Canada and Florida. Including being a director of tennis, NCAA collegiate coach, working with Tennis Canada and various provincial associations launching and managing various initiatives and more!
She attended Flager College on a full ride scholarship where she earned a BA in Business Administration and Sports Management while playing tennis.
Rachel is Tennis Canada Coach 3 certified.

Eric has coached and directed programs at world-class tennis facilities in 14 different countries then spent 24 years as the Racquet Sports Coordinator at Panorama Recreation before coming to Bear Mountain Tennis Centre.
Eric is Tennis Canada Coach 2 certified.

Russ Hartley
Director of Tennis
Director of Tennis, Russ Hartley, has been with Bear Mountain Tennis Centre since its inception in 2017. He brings over 50 years of experience as an administrator, coach and player.
Russ has an extensive history as a Director of Tennis and Head Tennis Professional at some of Canada’s finest private clubs including The Arbutus Club, The Racket Club of Victoria and Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club.
Russ is Tennis Canada Coach 3 certified.
